Tuesday With Mikayla

Tuesday was much like any other day with Mikayla.  We cut, glued, colored, made a Princess crown but today grandma had the pool out from Sunday.  Since Mikayla didn't get to enjoy the water then (she was sleeping) it was time to fill the pool and let her have her time.
She is sunbathing here.
She is having a pretty good time...
but it eventually got the best of her.  With much prompting during the day to lay down and rest there was to be no rest for her...UNTIL about a quarter till 5:00 she laid down on the floor in the kitchen and here she rested.
She is out!

Austin and daddy came to pick her up.  Austin had been asking for a Star Wars blanket (this is the newest thing for him) and finally HERE IT IS!  I think he liked it.

Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend

On Sunday the family all joined us to enjoy ribs papa cooked and to have some family time.  Sorry that Danielle had to take care of the sick babies and could not join us.
Austin was the first to check out the pool.
Then Jack and Weston arrived to join the fun.  Mikayla slept thru all this.
Jack enjoying the sprinkles.
Weston is not to be left out of anything.

Mom and son quite time.
Weston has a mouthful of olives.
I am not sure what Jack is up to but the expression on his face is priceless.
We dumped the pool water and Weston and Mikayla were all about making mud.
Soon everyone joined in to watch as Austin tried to dig.
That is over time to move onto something else.

Last Soccer Game and Metals

Saturday was the last soccer game for this season. All in all it was a good session. Both Austin and Jack got a chance to compete with other kids and show they could stay in the game. There were a lot of good memories. Here are a couple of pictures of their moves and then their METALS which they are both SO PROUD OF!

We are proud of both of you and hope to see you at the next sport you play in.

Paradise Park With Austin & Mikayla

I had free admission to one side of Paradise Park from the visit with Jack and Weston so Friday Austin, Mikayla and I spent the day there and went on both the children's side and the FOAM FACTORY side. Austin had been asking to do the foam side for quit some time. As you can see he was quite excited.
A boy and his foam blaster.

Mikayla is not quite tall enough yet.

Face painting was fun.

We went thru the tunnels...

Played a little music...

Did some climbing...

Mikayla made a frog from in the craft room...

They both made frog cookies...

Fishing kept Austin's attention for quite awhile.

We spent about 5 hours there.  We got tokens and played the games.  Austin chose 2 bouncy balls and Mikayla got some sour candy that we enjoyed watching Austin eat.  Here he is telling daddy all about his day.

Celebrating Danielle's Birthday

Sunday we all gathered at grandma and papa's house to celebrate Danielle's birthday.  After a meal of Mexican Chicken it was time to play.

Mikayla hopped on the hot wheels...

Weston headed to dig in the sand...

Austin was ready for some baseball...

And Jack was all about digging in the dirt and putting it in the wagon.
Aaron and Adam were playing catch with the nerf ball and hand gloves when Austin decided he needed to join in...
Papa got the broom and Austin was the pitcher...

Aaron tried to catch but Austin often overthrew the batter.  Never the less they all had a good time.

Michelle and Weston are having a aunt nephew conversation.

Mikayla enjoyed turning Danielle's chair.

The boys are keeping Danielle company on her special day.
Then it was time for cake.  Ready, set, BLOW!
                                          Let's light them again, please!
Thanks for a great evening.  I hope everyone had a good time.  I know I did.
