1st Place Season 2018

It was quite a tournament.  On Wednesday the boys came from behind to pull out a win.  Then on Thursday
they played 2 games in 100 degree weather to clinch the first place title.  What a season it has been.

What a TEAM!

All in this TOGETHER!

Three generations of baseball.

One HAPPY BOY!
Great season Austin.  Can't wait to see where we go from here!!!!

Arm Slinky

Kayla had done chores over the weekend without being asked
and mom agreed to treat her to an arm slinky.  She was
sooooooo excited and couldn't wait for the FedEx truck to
get there.

One HAPPY girl!

They are really pretty cool to play with.

Austin even approved.

Oh What A Beautiful Night for Baseball

A big storm came thru earlier today that blew down trees and
threatened to interrupt tournament play.  Luckily the game was
pushed back an hour to 9:00 and it was able to be played.
The result of the storm provided a fantastic back drop
for the game.

What an awesome picture.
Another view.

One to remember.
The boys lost this game but nature did not disappoint
with it's splendid colors.

Last Game of the Regular Season

It's Saturday morning and the last game of the regular
season.  Austin is playing catcher.  He normally is
at 1st base but today he is trying his other skills out.

Being the catcher this year has been somewhat challenging
because of the dropped ball on the 3rd strike rule.  A lot
of runs have been scored this way and many games have
been decided on just this fact.
Today proved that he has the skills.

The season ended with 7 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie.
They took home the 3rd place trophy.
Not bad for a first year coach!

Ready for the tournament!

Father's Day Celebration

We gathered at Adam & Michelle's to celebrate Father's Day.
Of course, there was delicious food and good
conversation.

Dessert is being enjoyed by all.

Kayla is maneuvering Papa Eddie's wheelchair.
She is actually pretty good at it!
Happy Father's Day to all!

Time with A & M

Camp Summit had planned a trip to the zoo today but the
temperature was predicted to be extremely hot and Austin
has a baseball game tonight so they elected to see if
grandma and papa were available.  And they were.
This is the picture we took for their Father's Day creation.

We checked out LeaMcKeighan...

Climbing needed to be done...

The zip line needed to be tested...

And the teeter totter needed to be explored.
Approval on all but it is HOT so we are
moving on.

We checked out all the pets at Petco...
And got to hold a guinea pig.
The next day grandma came out to our house and took
us swimming in the neighborhood pool.
This summer is getting off on the right track!

Austin's Biggest Fan

Kayla loves to sit in the wagon during Austin's
games.  Cheering him on is one of her biggest joys!
Austin on the mound...

Taking his place the field...

Ready to show them his stuff!

These Little Boys

Totally happy playing in their own bowls of baking
soda with diggers and mind craft figures...
Found the nerf bow and arrow...
and were pros shooting, until one of the arrows
got stuck way upppp in the top of the tree.
(no worries, the wind will bring it down, eventually)
Ok, but he gets to do it at the cabin.  (He was
so proud of himself)
B was so happy he got to play a game on the computer
without the bigs.  (Means a lot to a little guy)  Of course,
screen time was limited. Have to make them feel
special sometimes!
