It's Still Snow Time

Mikayla and Austin's pre-school was still out on Thursday so they came to visit grandma and papa.
Mikayla spent time playing with little Miss Briley.
Kayla is showing her the princess way.
Hugs were a thing of the day.
Austin had to get in on the action.  They still enjoy spinning inthe
chair.  Briley found it enjoyable also.

Monday Play

On Monday Jack and Weston came to visit. We found all kinds of things to keep them busy.
First there was Play Doh.
Little Miss Briley had to check out the action.
Weston asked almost before he got in the door "Can we play Play Doh"
He is very intent.
Then it was onto trains.
Weston made his own with bridges at the side of Jack's.
Jack made his go all the way around the circle.
Puzzles were later in the day.
They are pretty good at them.
Weston had no trouble mastering his.
What would we do if we couldn't have arts and crafts?
He is very proud of his project.
Jack is designing his artwork.
When mom came by to get them they had lots of stories for her.
We had a good day and hope you enjoy tomorrow at home with all
the snow.

Winter Snow Storm 2-13

School was closed due to the 2013 snow storm that hit us on Thursday.
Kayla and Austin came to grandma and papa's while mommy and daddy
set out to work thru it all.
We put all sorts of spices, flour, sugar, and whatever we could think of
in the muffin pan and added sprinkles for color.
I think Austin got a whiff of one that was a little strong.

Mikayla is all about being a princess.
On Friday, as you can see, the princess crown is again in place for
the bed jumping exercise.

And yes, I let them jump to their hearts content.  After all they CAN at grandma and papa's.
Around noon on Friday grandma Carla came to take them to her house so I could go shovel
grandpa Carl's walk.

Basketball 2013

Austin is playing basketball at the rec center. His age group is 5 year to 2nd grade. He may not be the best one out there but he is having a really good time.
Little Missy Kayla.  Quite the social butterfly.
Austin and his coach before the game began.
Doing pre-game drills.
Oops!
Dribble with his left hand.
Oops again.
The smile is always there and he looks for approval from the fans.  He is all about High 5's and having fun.  Sorry, once again I failed to get any game action pictures.  Maybe next time.

Sunday Pajama Play Time

One of the best things about Sunday is that you can stay in your comfortable PJ's all day if you want to.
Playing with trains and planes.
Right in the middle of it all.
I think they need just one more Hot Wheel.
Nothing like Play Doh.
Hard at work.
Before mom and dad got back the set the table with all the plates, cups and food they could find.
Quite a spread, don't you think?
Thanks for visiting everyone.  We all had a wonderful time.  Must do this again real soon.

Decorating Cupcakes

Aaron and Danielle went to Columbia to enjoy some adult time and attend a basketball game with the family and friends. Jack and Weston came to visit. We started our day with Wes and grandma taking Papa Carl to the VA for an appointment. Then we met Papa Kim and Jack at Austin's basketball game in Belton. (Someone forgot to take the camera so there is no record of this outing) Then it was back home for lunch and some downtime before we all headed out for bowling. Austin and Mikayla joined us and once again the camera was not in attendance.  After supper of pizza we decorated cupcakes.

Next it was onto the bath and general fooling around before bedtime.  It was good to visit with all of the grandkids and let them have some kid time.  By the way, they all did GREAT at bowling and are asking when they can "Do it again"
