Fun Night at Starlight (7-30-18)

Austin & Kayla took Papa Russ to Starlight to celebrate an 

early birthday with him.  Perfect weather for the event.

Flowers for Grandma

Grandma took Kayla to her sewing classes this week and

kept her company so they surprised me with this 

beautiful flower arrangement today.  

Doesn't get much better than this!

Sewing Camp

So today is the first day of Kayla's sewing camp.

First the started out with paper to sew on the lines...

A little instructions on how to use the machine... 

and she was ready to learn.

When I picked her up the first day she had cut out the

pattern and was ready to work on her owl pillow.

When I picked her up on day 2 she had sewn the pillow and
was ready to stuff it.

SO PROUD of her work.  She also made a sleep mask

and sleep pants.  Awesome job Kayla!

Austin was interested in what she was doing.  Guess
he didn't want to miss out.

They both made a pillow.

What next?

New Adventures

Today the boys pulled out the buildings that Papa Carl had on

his train table and made their own city.

Imagination is what it is all about at this age.

They still like to fly their planes...

Up and down the hill they go.

Beckett wanted to play the trumpet...

The Yellow Chair

I asked Tucker if he would sit in the yellow chair 

so I could take an updated picture.  Here is where

we started out...

Then I asked him again if he would co-operate...

It was well worth the wait.  Thanks T.  I think this is the BEST

one yet!!!!!

Happy Birthday America

The family all gathered at Adam and Michelle's to celebrate

the 4th of July.

With dads supervision Tucker is making the most of his

opportunity to light his firework.

We moved to the backyard to watch neighborhood fireworks.

These boys are the BEST!

Balloons with a light in them were a great hit.

Tucker's balloon lasted the longest.  Everyone else popped theirs in the grass.

Father's Day Gift

all 6 grandkids names around the outside of the medal.
