Watching Grandpa Shave

On our visit today papa Carl was shaving.

Tucker needed to see what he was doing.  Papa showed
him the mirror and played with him like he was shaving him.

All the time not loosing a lick of his sucker.

Breakfast with Tucker

One morning Tucker decided he was going
to change up his routine a bit and eat breakfast
on his own terms.  He landed in his comfy chair with
feet crossed and consumed his waffles.

Christmas Fun in Branson

This year the family decided to make memories instead of
presents so off to Branson we went.  We spent Friday at Silver
Dollar City.  Saturday we visited the Dixie Stampede and
rode the Polar Express.  There are many, many pictures of the
event and Aunt Danielle has properly documented the visit
on her website for future reference.

Happy grandkids!
An all inclusive family picture.
(Tucker is mostly missing but can be seen below)

Tribute to Cali Dog

11 years of memories with this sweet girl will be cherished. Cali, our yellow lab, was a wedding gift from me to my husband in January of 2006. Over the years she has been so gentle, loving and loyal. She was the first best friend my children ever knew and the hardest goodbye for them to date. Today we had to make the difficult decision to put her down and say our goodbyes. We found out a week ago that her kidneys were shutting down. She quit eating, became confused and lost, and showed signs of pain and extreme weakness. It was time to end her suffering ;(. We are thankful for her loyalty, love, and protection over the years. RIP sweet Cali girl!

Time at the Lake

We were able to head to the lake on Wednesday before
Thanksgiving this year.  Mikayla and Austin joined us
for some outside time before it got too terribly cold.

Papa built a fire in the fire pit to warm up a bit.

Mikayla used her artistic skills to fashion a
board into a gun.  She set up a target on a tree
for target practice...

While Austin worked on his gaming skills and
visited with papa.  Mom and dad joined us later
in the evening for supper and some family time.

Thanksgiving Lunch with Austin & Mikayla

We were invited to have lunch with Austin & Mikayla
to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Tucker was our guest and
welcomed by his cousin Mikayla.

Never a dull moment with these two.

She is one happy girl when her momma and dada
are by her side.

After a short wait we headed to the cafeteria to share
time with Austin.  Thanks for inviting us!

It's Time for the Leaves to Fall

Tucker and papa thought they would get a
little head start on clearing out a few of
the leaves today.
The leaves are almost as big as Tucker.

Taking them to the drop off spot with papa.
The other day he actually picked up a few
and took them around the corner by himself.
Guess he had seen grandma do this enough times
he knew just where to put them.

Veterans Day Tribute

The third grade at Raymore Elementary presented a
special tribute to our veterans this evening.  Austin caught
our eye as they walked in.
132 third graders.

They sang their hearts out.

What a wonderful moment for the generations
to come together.  They had a video before the program
with pictures of relatives who were veterans.  Quite
amazing to see all those who served our country.
Austin got to be with one of his veterans, papa Russell.
